Our point of origin

Indigenous peoples living in territory, steward 80% of the world’s biodiversity, yet receive less than 1% of climate finance.

You can help change that.

Indigenous peoples and cultures must remain in place if we are to safeguard the world’s most vulnerable and biodiverse regions.

But this ancient way of life is under threat from multiple directions - without the right to self-govern, and without systems of education to pass that knowledge onto the next generation, it will be lost forever.

With a small donation you can directly support indigenous democracy and the restorative economy so they can preserve their way of life, protect the forest and defend humanity’s future.

Solomon Islands is one of the most biodiverse places on the planet, with significant primary rainforest cover and a high concentration of endemic species. But all of that is under threat.

Your donation goes directly to supporting communities, building an indigenous education system and defending the forest against destructive exploitation.

“The forest is our ancestral home. To protect it we need an economy which builds up our resources instead of destroying them, which raises up our cultures and values instead of pushing them to the ground, that invests in our people and their knowledge instead of exploiting them, that builds unity instead of jealousy.

We invite like-minded partners around the world to step forward and support Malaita Province with its ambitions and aspirations.”
